The Talmudic Encyclopedia includes and explains more than 1500 values regarding Halachic laws and terms, Jewish customs and more - from the days of the Mishnah until the present.
The concise values that are taken from the Talmudic literature, are written in a clear and focused way, and include the specific source references in detail.
About the Project The Global Jewish Database (the Responsa Project) contains the world's largest electronic
collection of Jewish texts in Hebrew ever recorded, which embody thousands of years
of Jewish learning. The database includes numerous works from the Responsa Literature
- rabbinic case-law rulings which represent the historical-sociological milieu of
real-life situations. In addition, the database includes the Bible, the Talmud and
their principal commentaries; works about Jewish law and customs; major the codes
of Jewish law, such as Maimonides' Mishneh Torah and the Shulchan Aruch with its
principal commentaries; midrashim, Zohar, etc…
This internet version of the Responsa
Project includes a variety of tools and capabilities in its various features of
search, navigation of texts, and hypertext links between books in different databases.
The Online version includes a variety of features, advanced search options,
navigation and hyperlinks to connect the books in the various repositories.
